How The MEDIA Interpreted This Man’s “Prayer”

WickedLocal.com recently posted a picture of a man praying during a service at a Newton, Massachusetts temple. What they didn’t realize is that he wasn’t praying at all!

George Mathiowitz

Wicked Local – “George of Temple Beth Aavodah bows his head in prayer at the 40th Annual Mayor´s Prayer Breakfast at Boston College’s McElroy Commons, May 25, 2016. (Wicked Local Staff Photo/ Sam Goresh)”

That caption is the biggest load of dreck I have ever read!

When I saw it I burst out laughing!

This ‘George of Temple Beth Aavodah’ is anything but religious. His shelves probably have the fewest amount of religious books in the history of Newton, Mass. This man believes that religion causes most wars. This man didn’t care that his son didn’t want a Bar Mitzvah. This man is a George Carlin fan. This man is a Bill Maher fan. And as you may know, those comedians are ANTI-religion.

I’m not saying George of Temple Beth Aavodah is anti-religion, but at the very least he is agnostic. So I can guarantee you THAT MAN in THAT PHOTO is NOT PRAYING.

That is the look of a man BORED of the service. He was literally putting his hands on his face, counting down the seconds for the prayer to end because he wanted to go home already.

And how do I know this…? Because his full name is George Mathiowitz and…

HE’S MY FUCKING DAD!

Here’s proof:

Me on the left. George “No Thanks, Religion” Mathiowitz on the right.

The only reason he shows up to temple is because he’s whipped like me and goes wherever his wife demands.

Here’s his direct quote about the photograph that was taken of him: “On a second thought, I think I was praying after all. I was praying for the prayer to stop.”
